Cajun Burger

Ingredients

  • 3 Lbs 80/20 Coastal Plains ground beef
  • Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 1 Tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 Lb sliced Cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Form ground beef into eight 1/3-pound patties; season both sides with Cajun seasoning.
  2. Toss sliced onions with canola oil and salt.
  3. Heat a flat-top grill to high. Sauté onions until caramelized and soft; set aside.
  4. Slice bacon into thirds and cook on the grill until crispy; set aside.
  5. Sear the burger patties on the grill.
  6. Assemble the burgers with caramelized onions, crispy bacon, and cheddar cheese.
